State assistance for those facing foreclosure can be found at http://www.foreclosurehelp.nv.gov/  There is also a national hotline 888-995-Hope.  Additionally in December the President announced an agreement with the mortgage industry to voluntarily freeze interest rates for up to five years for homeowners who have adjustable rates that were made between Jan 1, 2005 and July 31, 2007 and now face interest rates that reset before July 31, 2010.
